Registration procedure
To register or to add your name to the waiting list, send an e-mail to doctoralschools@UGent.be, mentioning your name, surname, student number, faculty, department, Doctoral School, the title of the course, the course code and your current living address. You will receive an e-mail confirming your registration. There is no need to register at the University Language Centre.
Test
Upon registration for this course, you are required to take an online test in a computer room. The test takes 1 hour and comprises multiple choice questions, gapfill exercises and a dictation. If you fail this test, your registration for writing skills will be cancelled. You will first have to follow another course of English which better suits your needs and competences (for instance Upper-Intermediate Academic English) at your own expense.
Registration fee
Free of charge for the members of the Doctoral Schools
The course book is not included. You have to buy the course book yourself (bookstore Story Scientia, Sint-Kwintensberg 87, Gent).
