From PhD to Job Market: Marketing the PhD in the Humanities and Social Sciences

More doctoral degree holders are working outside academia than ever before, yet many doctoral students fear the transition to the wider-world of work as they remain unaware of the various career options available to them.
The fifth edition of the From PhD to Job Market, targeted exclusively at doctoral students from the Humanities and Social Sciences, is designed to help demystify the non-academic job search process and create a unique professional and social forum for discussion of different career paths, job market strategies and tactics.
The From PhD to Job Market, jointly organized by the Ghent University Doctoral Schools, the Central PhD Office of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Antwerp Doctoral School, takes place at Ghent on Friday 21 September 2012. The full programme overview is now available.
