6 Dec 2011 - SMART TEXTILES AND CONSUMERS: Closing the Gap
(2011-11-24)
Smart textiles are the new generation of textile products. Their possible impact on the economy as well as the quality of life is immense and market studies have shown their market potential is huge. Nonetheless, smart textiles do not succeed on the market place. Why is that?
We try to answer this question during the seminar SMART TEXTILES AND CONSUMERS: Closing the Gap, which is organised by the Department of Textiles of Ghent University and the ENSAIT GEMTEX laboratory together with VOKA Oost-Vlaanderen. We will also tackle some initiatives aiming at reducing the gap between new technologies and real applications.
