Lina Rambausek wins Poster Prize at FEA PhD Symposium

Lina Rambausek won the Prize for Best Poster in the category Senior Researchers at the 12th PhD Symposium organised by the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of Ghent University on December 7, 2011.

The PhD symposium wants to enhance the visibility of the research activities performed at the faculty. It allows different research groups, and in particular their PhD students, to learn more about each other's research work stimulating possible collaboration.

Lina Rambausek got the prize for her poster TOPSY-TURVY TECHNOLOGY - WHEN YOUR SHIRT TELLS YOU TO GO JOGGING.

Lina is a PhD student at the Department of Textiles since November 2008. Under the supervision of Prof. Lieva Van Langenhove, she is working in the research group for smart textiles. After managing the European coordination action SYSTEX, Lina now performs research in the field of fibrous transistors for application in smart textile systems. In this framework, focus is laid on materials and process techniques including fibre coatings and working with conductive, semi-conductive and isolating materials.
