Chief logistics administrator
Chief logistics administrator Jeroen Vanden Berghe and the chief academic administrator together form the Management Committee, lead by the Rector (vice-chancellor) and the Vice-Rector (deputy vice-chancellor).
The chief administrators have a seat in the Board of Governors and the Management Committee with advisory vote.
The chief administrators are responsible for:
- the day-to-day management of the university
- the co-ordination of the central university administration.
The chief logistics administrator is in particular responsible for the steering of the following departments:
- Information and Communication Technology Department
- Department of Infrastructure and Facility Management
- Department of Student Facilities
- Financial Department
The chief logistics administrator is also responsible for the Centre for Academic Heritage and Archives, which consists of the GUM (Ghent University Museum) and Botanical Garden and the University Archive.
