Info sessions about the proper preparation of parcels with hazardous contents

(10-08-2017) On 6, 7, and 8 September 2017, info sessions will be held together with the delivery service UPS, about the way in which to correctly package UN3373 (Biological and Infectious Substances) and UN1845 (dry ice) dispatches.

There are risks involved in preparing hazardous parcels and it is necessary to comply with strict regulations. Ghent University bears considerable responsibility in the event of any issues with such parcels. It is advised that all those working at Ghent University and regularly preparing hazardous parcels are informed of the correct procedure.

Ghent University recently signed an agreement with the delivery service UPS. During the information sessions on 6, 7, and 8 September 2017, UPS will explain the different options and talk about the tariff structure and procedure in the new contract. Guidelines will also be given on the proper packaging and dispatch of hazardous products.

Do you regularly prepare parcels containing hazardous products (UN3373 - Biological and Infectious Substances - and UN1845 dry ice deliveries)? Sign up for one of the info sessions!
