FWO – Research Foundation Flanders: [Pegasus]² Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellowships

Objective

There are two types of fellowships in this [PEGASUS]² programme:

  • Outgoing: fellowships with a duration of three years of which the research during the first two years will be carried out at a foreign research institution or company. At the start of the third year the fellow returns to the Flemish host institution to continue the research activity (obligatory return period).
  • Incoming: fellowships with a duration of three years for postdoctoral researchers coming from abroad to carry out the research at a Flemish host institution.

The fellows will receive a bench fee:

  • 4.000 EUR for research activities (yearly)
  • Outgoing:
    • 1.650 EUR monthly mobility allowance (during the two years abroad)
    • One-time allowance for travel expenses of the fellow to and from the place of destination abroad
  • Incoming:
    • 600 EUR monthly mobility allowance
    • One-time return trip to Belgium for the fellow

The FWO will be the employer of the fellow and Ghent University will be the host institution. The FWO will pay the fellow a salary in the same scale of a post-doctoral assistant.

After the term of three years a proposal for a renewal of the postdoctoral fellowship can be asked for.
