Practical Information

Studying Art History, Musicology and Theatre Studies at Ghent University implies that you get interesting and innovative eduction in a wide array of courses and seminars. Moreover, you get attractive advantages to broaden your horizon: substantial reductions for theatre tickets, the Erasmus exchange program and several guest lectures of visiting international scholars.

Theatre tickets reductions

To give our students the chance to explore the richness of the Flemish and Belgian theatre landscape to the fullest, we cooperate with several theatre houses and art centres to give all students of the second and third Bachelor year and all Master students attractive reductions. Information on how to apply for these reductions is disseminated at the start of each academic year through Minerva, the online learning platform of the university.

Erasmus exchange

Staying at a foreign university is a serious surplus for your education. Moreover, it is an enormous personal enrichment. We offer our students of Theatre and Performing arts the possibility to stay at universities in Paris, Bologna, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Bochum, Berlin, Leipzig, Olomouc (Czech Republic), Mainz, Trier and Istanbul in the first semester of the third year of the Bachelor program. This exchange takes place with the Erasmus-program.

Information sessions are organised during the second year of the Bachelor program, informing students about the necessary requirements for a stay abroad. The university offers support in the form of financial aid, language courses etc, in order to make your stay abroad as smooth as possible. These sessions are announced through Minerva, the online learning platform of Ghent University.
