The Henri Pirenne Institute for Medieval Studies organises lectures and seminars as part of the Medieval Seminar Series. Speakers at the 'Lunch Lectures' vary from visiting scholars, to members of the institute, to invited experts.

For the Lunch Lecture of March the Pirenne Institute welcomes prof. Christopher Fletcher (Université de Lille). Prof. Fletcher is an expert on medieval masculinity and the history of political language. He is the author of Richard II: Manhood, youth, and politics, 1377-99 (Oxford University Press, 2010) and is currently working on another monograph on gender and political life in late medieval England.
