Age of acquisition

Age-of-acquisition ratings on 2816 Dutch four- and five-letter nouns.

These norms were collected by asking 559 undergraduates to indicate for a set of words at which age they thought they had learned them. More details on this study can be found in Ghyselinck, M., De Moor, W., & Brysbaert M. (2000). Age-of-acquisition ratings on 2816 Dutch four- and five-letter nouns, Psychologica Belgica. As also on its validation (De Moor, W., Ghyselinck, M., & Brysbaert, M. (2000). A validation study of the age-of-acquisition norms collected by Ghyselinck, De Moor, & Brysbaert. Psychologica Belgica)

The norms can be downloaded and/or consulted for research purposes, provided that all publications based on research with these norms cite the Ghyselinck, De Moor and Brysbaert study. Note that the norms are for non-profit use only.
