Annelies Permentier

Annelies PermentierAfter following her studies in Social Work Annelies Permentier obtained the Master of degree in Criminology in 2015. After gaining one year experience as an outreach worker in the Forensic 2B team in Sint-Niklaas, she started working as a PhD student in the Department of Criminology (more specifically the research group Institute for International Research on Criminal Policy) and the Department of Special Needs Education in August 2016. On the one hand she carries out research for the For-Care Project, an inter-university research on the reform of health care for persons with the legal status  of ‘internment’ carried out on behalf of Federal Minister of Health Mrs. M. Block. On the other hand, she works out a PhD proposal (with promoters Prof. Dr. Vander Laenen and Prof. Dr. Wouter Vanderplasschen) concerning internment and more specifically the way in which trajectories expire and/or go wrong.
