Turkey’s EU Accession Negotiations: a state of affairs
The Centre for EU Studies, the Ghent Institute for International Studies and the Centre for Turkish Studies at Ghent University invite you for an expert seminar on the current state of Turkey’s EU accession negotiations.
The panel will address the various causes and possible solutions for the current stalemate, as well as perceptions of the EU negotiation process in Turkey.

- Mr. Christos Makridis, Deputy Head of Unit, European Commission, DG Enlargement, Unit B3 Turkey
- Prof. Canan Balkir, Chair of the Department of EU Studies, Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir
- Mr. Selçuk Gültaşlı, Brussels representative of the Turkish daily ZAMAN in Brussels
The discussion will be held in English.
