It is generally accepted that democracy is unthinkable without political parties. They take the lead in almost every aspect of the political system. As a result the study of parties became a major research-issue in political science.
On the one hand the Ghips researchers focus on the evolution of party ideology, party organization and party campaigning, on the other hand on the political attitudes of party members.
