We are a team of eight botanists and a varying number of both Belgian and foreign trainee students. Four technical staff members assist with the practical work and administration. We study several groups of flowering plants with emphasis on morphological, anatomical and molecular research. The presence of living collections in the Botanical Garden of Ghent University which is neighbouring our building, is invaluable for our studies.
