The science outreach centers that are somehow connected to the Faculty of Sciences are listed below. Visits can be payed on individual basis or after appointment in group, but the explanation will be in Dutch. On some occasions English guidance may be possible. Please take contact in advance for inquieries.
Situated near the Citadelparkof Ghent, the garden of 2,75 ha houses 10 000 plant species.

Museum for the History of Sciences
The Museum for the History of Sciences is a site of scientific research in the field of the history of science and, in particular, of the history of the scientific instrument.

Public Observatory Armand Pien of Ghent University
In the centre of the city of Ghent, the old observatory of the University houses a public observatory. Free accessible on wednesday evening from 20h till 22h. Read more
Institute of continuing education
ICES (Institute for Continuing Education in Science) is a logistic service of the Faculty of Sciences. On demand of the faculty and/or external partners we organize courses, conferences and other training activities on topical research areas within the field of exact sciences. Our teachers are active in the industry and/or teach at institutes for higher education. Read more
