The mission of the workplace is designing and building unique appliances and accessories for scientifical research. These appliances usually do not exist yet or are extremely expensive.

The faculty workplace exists out of three departments:

• Electronics
• Mechanics
• Glass techniques

Each of these departments disposes of an extensive machinery/armamentarium and is supported by a specialized staff. The staff uses up-to-date techniques for the development of the appliances and accessories. (CAD-design)

Next to the development of new appliances and accessories the workplace also takes care of the maintenance and reparations of all kinds of labo-equipments.
