The sample can be radiated during the experiment with intense light by the USHIO UXL-300 Xenon short arc lamp. The lamp housing is a Newport 66902 and power supply is Newport 69911. Wavelength is choosen by the Oriel 77200 monochromator.
The sample could previously be radiated with X-rays from the Philips PW1730 generator.
Growing crystals from melt to homogenous crystals is carried out by a Bridgman furnace.
