Prof. dr. Dimitry Kochenov

Dimitry Kochenov is Professor of EU Constitutional Law at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He has held fellowships and visiting professorships worldwide, including at Princeton University, New Jersey (Crane Fellowship in Law and Public Affairs, Woodrow Wilson School), New York University Law School (Émile Noël Fellowship), Osaka Graduate School of Law, the College of Europe, Basel Institute of Global Studies and a Visiting Chair in Private Law at the Università degli Studi di Torino, Italy.

He has advised international institutions and governments and has published widely in the areas of EU constitutional law and citizenship.

His most recent edited volumes include 'EU Citizenship and Federalism' (Cambridge, 2017) and 'The Enforcement of EU Law and Values' (with A Jakab, Oxford, 2017). Dimitry is currently working on a book on the concept of citizenship for MIT Press.
