8th EU-China Health Forum on "Advancing Dialogue on Population Development and One Health"

The eighth edition of the European-Chinese Health Forum (ECHF), held from August 24 to 27, 2024, brought together government officials, academic experts, healthcare practitioners, and representatives from international organizations to address critical global challenges in population development and healthcare. The forum was co-organized by three ANSER members, namely Ghent University, Tsinghua University, National Research Institute for Family Planning, along with other institutions.
The forum, themed "Population Development and One Health: Evidence and Policy," focused on pressing issues such as healthcare delivery, health promotion, and fertility preservation. Discussions emphasized the One Health framework, which highlights the interconnections between human, animal, and environmental health. Participants explored evidence-based strategies and policy recommendations to address global population development trends and strengthen health systems. Organizers emphasized the forum's success in fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and international collaboration to tackle complex health and development issues.
