Lab Technician

I am a laboratory technician at the Glyco group. Currently, I am working on the GOA project, focusing on dsRNA delivery in plants. In addition to my project work, I support the team by organizing and managing general tasks in the lab. Furthermore, I assist the Mobi Group, where I am responsible for the maintenance of the plant facilities. My role involves ensuring that all plants are well-cared for and that the facilities are kept in optimal condition.

Lab Technician

I work as a lab technician in the EPIC group, where I play a role in various research projects. A part of my job involves assisting PhD students with their experiments. In addition, I am responsible for the plant growth chambers.

Since 2010, I've been working at UGent, first as a lab technician, and later, I also learned the administrative part of UGent. Most of the time I work at the secretariat , where I make orders, financial reports (Front officer), and support when someone new starts… I also help the NANO team with general support in the lab.

I'm working at the secretariat of Molecular Biotechnology since 2001. I support the mobi team by helping them with : -financial things: orders, invoices, ... -welcome new employees. -a lot of general administrative tasks …

Infrastructure manager

In 2005, after more than a decade of scientific research in the field of Radiation and Environmental Physics, I joined the technical support team of the Molecular Biotechnology lab. There I'm responsible for making sure all the lab equipment is running smoothly, all computers and servers are softly purring and all the labs and people are safe.
