Borrow, reserve, and request

Borrow

You can borrow up to 10 works per faculty, and 10 books from the Booktower. The standard loan term is 4 weeks. You can renew a book 3 times, unless another patron reserves the book(s) in the meantime.

You can renew a book once half of the loan term has passed. There are several ways of going about this:

  • via the catalogue. Log in, click on 'My loans' > 'Renew'
  • at the desk in the library
  • send an e-mail to
  • call the library at 09/264.58.95

Reserve

There are two ways to reserve a book:

  • when a book is already borrowed by another patron: look up the book in the catalogue and click on the blue 'Reserve'-button. You will receive an e-mail when the book is available.
  • when you order a book: mention that you would like to borrow it first when you order the book.

Request

Articles in print journals and works in the closed stack must be requested before consultation.

  • Request articles via the SFX-button in the database.
  • Request books in the closed stacks via the catalogue, and by clicking the blue 'Request'-button.
