ATP Technical Training
Aim
The Scientific Research Committee (CWO) financially supports FBE Administrative and Technical Staff who need to attend a technical course or conference essential for their function.
Who can apply?
All ATP staff at the FBE who want to:
- Attend conferences
- Train at an academic research organization abroad
- Train at a foreign institute/organization
Requirements
- The supervisor gives their consent to the staff member concerned.
- You must show that the training in question represents added value for the research field in which you are active. This proof of added value should be described in a motivation letter sent to research.fbw@ugent.be, signed by you and the supervisor.
- After the stay, it is expected that you will be able to implement the acquired knowledge within your working environment.
- A training should be at least 1 week or max. 1 month
Grant
- A lump sum* for transport and registration expenses:
Within Europe: 500 euro
Outside Europe: 1.000 euro
- Sum* for accommodation: 800 euro/month (=30 days)
- The day of departure and the day of return are counted for the duration of the period.
- If the actual duration of the study program turns out to be less than 1 week: the amount granted will not be paid.
- Only if the study program cannot take place due to unforeseen circumstances (to be described in the reimbursement file) can already incurred costs be reimbursed.
- A maximum of one technical training per applicant can be granted by the CWO every 10 years.
*After approval for reimbursement, this lump sum is transferred to your budget holder (ZAP). Your department will only reimburse the expenses actually made.
