Support for the organisation of a conference

Aim

The Rectorate annually grants a credit to each faculty to support the organisation of a conference with an international reputation. The selection of this conference is done by the Scientific Research Committee (CWO) of the FBE.

All researchers at the FBE.

What can be applied for?

Financial support for the organisation of a conference with an international reputation.

When can an application be submitted?

This application can be submitted for the first meeting of the Committee following the announcement of the call for this category. In normal circumstances this application will be discussed on the next meeting of the Committee.

How to apply?

The applicant completes the application form and adds the necessary annexes.

The applicant procures:

  • one copy of the form with annexes to the administrative employee of the CWO. This copy as well as the annexes may not be stapled.
  • one additional copy of the form with annexes to the chairman of the CWO.
  • one digital copy (in PDF) of the form and every single annex to . These digital copies are preferably made using the printing application PDFCreator or by scanning.

Annexes to be submitted?

  • the conference programme
  • estimation of expenses and income related to the conference

PLEASE DO NOT ADD ANY ORIGINAL RECEIPTS OR OTHER ORIGINAL PROOFS OF PAYMENT TO YOUR APPLICATION! YOU CAN SUBMIT THESE AFTER YOU HAVE RECEIVED FINAL CONFIRMATION OF THE DECISION CONCERNING YOUR APPLICATION!

Procedure of decision making

  1. In normal circumstances this application will be discussed on the next meeting of the Committee.
  2. The Committee gives a positive or negative advice (that might be conditional) on the application.
  3. The Committee transmits the positive or negative advice to the Faculty Board.
  4. The Faculty Board takes a final decision.
  5. The applicant will be informed of this final decision by email.
