Fresh and healthy food with Veg-i-Trade

The Veg-i-Trade project assesses the impact of anticipated climate change and globalization on safety issues concerning fresh produce and derived food products.

Veg-i-Trade focuses on leafy green vegetables, berries, tomatoes and derived products, apples and pears.

It is a multidisciplinary project that studies the organization and economic structure of the fresh produce global market and the development of control measures for microbiological hazards (Salmonella, pathogenic E. coli, Norovirus) and chemical hazards (mycotoxins, pesticide residues).
