Sensor detects food spoilage

The CheckPack team is developing an optical sensor that can be integrated in food packaging.

The sensor detects spoilage of food products through measurement of volatile compound concentrations and checks food packaging integrity through measurement of CO2 and O2 concentrations.

The sensors are, due to the used technology, cheap to produce and are therefore having a great potential for use on a large scale in future applications.
