New cancer treatment

Our research team focuses on chemical innovation in organic synthesis and on bioactive compound development (heterocyclic chemistry).

We are actively involved in medicinal chemistry collaborations with academic and industrial partners in the pursuit of new potential drug molecules, such as novel antimalarial, antifungal, antiviral and anticancer agents.

A current project deals with the development of novel HDAC6 inhibitors with potential applications in oncology, secured in a patent application, in which hit compounds are currently being optimized to provide a drug discovery opportunity for a pharma company.
