Intercultural debate for students on Protein Transition
All food interested students at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University are invited to attend an intercultural and international debate concerning 'Protein Transition'.
This topic offers the students the opportunity to reflect, based on their kowledge and cultural background, upon innovation in the protein transition from animal proteins towards alternative proteins (e.g. insects, algae, microbes, plant based).
In certain countries there is ample experience with consumption of e.g. insects and algae, while in Europe we are still in an infant stage.
After an introduction to the topic, students will be divided in small groups to debate, after which the outcomes will be pitched in front of the audience.
