Arima Setiowati


Arima SetiowatiArima is doing her PhD under the scheme of Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarship from 2013 to 2017. She obtained her master degree in 2012 and conducted a thesis on the topic of fat and oil in the Laboratory of Food Technology and Engineering (FTE), Ghent University.

She is currently doing research on conjugation of Whey Protein Isolate and pectin to improve the heat stability of WPI as emulsifier. This work is investigating the physicochemical properties of the complex as well as the behavior of the complex in oil in water (O/W) emulsions.

She is interested in emulsion stabilization and also topics related to food and nutrition.

PhD duration is October 2013 until October 2017.
