AUGent researchers will present some inspiring examples of the different phases of marine biorefining, such as bioprospecting, production of and optimizing the composition of primary biomass, conversion technologies for diverse applications.
The BIOMARES platform combines AUGent expertise in the field of marine biorefining and bioactives, and is a collaboration between the IRF consortia BLUEGent, CropFit, BioMolecules, End-of-Waste and ChemTech.
The first BIOMARES netwerk event aims to bring together AUGent researchers to identify opportunities in the blue bioeconomy for AUGent, and think about setting up collaborative research to bring these innovations to the market.
