Inaugural lectures Prof. Maenhout & Prof. de la Pena

On Monday 23 May 2022, Prof. Steven Maenhout and Prof. Eduardo de la Pena held their inaugural lectures at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering. The lectures were followed by a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Dirk Reheul.

Prof. dr. Eduardo de la Pena 

Prof. de la Pena has been working for the department of Plants & Crops since 2021. His main research topics are tropical and subtropical agriculture, crop protection, agrodiversity and agroecology.

Prof. dr. Steven Maenhout

Prof. Maenhout has been working for the department of Plants & Crops since 2021. He is leading the Predictive Breeding research group. His main research topics are plant breeding, quantitative genetics, phenotypic data analysis and genomewide prediction.
