I am an Assistant Professor in Migration and Refugee Studies based in the Department of Public Health and Primary Care and CESSMIR, Ghent University. My research focuses on the patterns and drivers of international migration as well as on the dynamics shaping ethno-racial inequalities in European societies. I am particularly interested in issues related to immigrant residential segregation and currently examine how these relate to inequalities in access to preventive health care. Furthermore, I am currently a PI in the MOBILISE project, researching the intersections between migration and mass mobilization. Before joining UGent and CESSMIR I have been an Assistant Professor in Sociology at Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique (ENSAE), within the Centre for Research on Economics and Statistics (CREST), in Paris. I hold a PhD and MSc in Sociology from the University of Oxford.
