IDC impact series: inspiration day participatory research. An inspiration day about participatory research at Ghent University.

On October 1st, 2021 (09.00–15.00h) the ten interdisciplinary research consortia (IDC) of Ghent University organise an inspiration day on participatory research.

This inspiration day will be held in De Krook (Miriam Makebaplein 1, 9000 Gent) and will also be attendable via livestream.

09.00-09.15h. Welcome coffee/tea and registration 

09.15–09.30h. Introduction  – Prof. Dr. Ignace Lemahieu 

09.30–10.50h. Keynote Prof. Dr. Tineke Abma – Author of the book 'Participatory Research for Health and Social Well-being'. 

10.50–11.00h. Break 

11.00–12.00h. Panel discussion with six experienced researchers from our university (Dr. Bas Baccarne, Prof. Dr. Luce Beeckmans, Tessa Boeykens and others to be confirmed) .  

12.00–12.45h. Break 

12.45–14.15h. Breakout sessions 

How to work emancipatory with specific target groups?  
How to work participatively with students?  
How to work co-creatively with different stakeholders?
