Ghent University held its first edition of the Sustainable Agriculture – Biostimulants & Biopesticide conference (SABB) in Ghent with the help of the colleagues of the University of Hasselt, University of Brussels and the University of Liège. Academic researchers, partners from the industry, policy makers and journalists came together to discuss the latest innovations in biostimulants and biopesticides.

With more than 120 attendees from more than 13 countries, the first edition of SABB was a great success. “With this conference, we want to unite academic (young) researchers and industrial scientists, especially those who are interested in getting better informed about what is “brewing” in the academic institutes”, announced Danny Geelen, organizer of the conference earlier this year. With the conference, a platform was created for Belgian young researchers to present their results to the international industrial scene. The conference was positively received by the industry, who enjoyed the in depth high qualitative presentations ánd pragmatic approaches of the research activities.

The next edition of SABB is foreseen in 2023. See you then!
