Prof. Yvan Saeys

Introduction

Prof. Yvan Saeys specializes in Machine Learning and Systems Immunology. He leads the Data Mining and Modeling for Biomedicine (DaMBi) research group at the VIB-UGent Center for Inflammation Research. Prof. Saeys obtained his PhD in computer science from Ghent University and has developed cutting-edge data mining and machine learning methods for biological and medical applications. His research focuses on computational models for high-throughput single-cell data analysis, and his work has achieved top performance in international challenges like DREAM5 and FlowCAP-IV. With over 100 publications in prestigious journals and more than 9500 citations, his contributions have significantly advanced the fields of bioinformatics and immunology​.
