CV Prof. dr. S. Croubels

Prof. dr. Siska Croubels graduated as a pharmacist in 1992 with great honors (UGent). After obtaining her PhD in 1997 in the field of bio-analysis of residues of veterinary drugs in food (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, UGent), she immediately started her post-doc research at the Laboratory of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (UGent). In 2004, she was appointed as assistant professor of veterinary toxicology at the same faculty. Since 2014, she is full professor and currently head of the Department of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Biochemistry. She is associate member of the European College of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (ECVPT) and external expert for the FAVV (Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain), Belgian Superior Health Council and BCFI (Belgian Centre for Pharmacotherapeutic Information). She is also member of the Ghent University Research Council (BOF), Industrial Research Fund (IOF) and of several scientific committees of international symposia, such as the International Symposium for Hormone and Veterinary Drug Residue Analysis (VDRA), European Association for Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (EAVPT) and Antimicrobial Agents in Veterinary Medicine (AAVM) conferences. She also serves as an editorial board member for the journal Mycotoxin Research. She is manager of the GLP unit of the department dealing with pharmacokinetic, bio-equivalence and residue studies of drugs.
