We offer courses in veterinary anatomy, embryology and histology as well as vertebrate zoology for bachelor veterinary medicine students. On top of that, we organize the master thesis program and participate in post academic teaching to veterinarians.

Our department houses a large collection of anatomical specimens for educational and research purposes.


Our research projects focuses on clinical and developmental anatomy, histology and cell biology.

The department houses core laboratories for gross anatomy, vascular corrosion casting, histology, microscopy, tissue and chicken embryo culture, stereology and image analysis.
