Target audience

PhD students of the Doctoral School of (Bioscience) Engineering. Maximum 25 participants are allowed.


This course is recommended for engineers with basic programming experience (Python)

pyFormex is an open-source tool for advanced geometrical modelling created at UGent and already used for the last couple of years by researchers worldwide. During the seminar's lectures and workshops users will learn about:

- geometrical modeling
- operations on meshes
- operations on medical scan images
- pre- and postprocessing for FEA

The course will be based on the latest release of pyFormex (“Target Software”)
