Cryobiology of Gametes, Embryos and Stem Cells

Target audience

PhD students working in biobanking and cell preservation. Maximum 30 participants are allowed.

The course is consisting of theoretical sessions in the morning by specialists in the field of animal and human cryobiology.
In the afternoon, the students will be able to join wet labs in groups of 10 : each group will follow a semen, oocyte and embryo/stem cell lab at different afternoons, and will get hands-on experience in this topic.

  • Tuesday 20 september 2016 - Day 1
  •  Wednesday 21 september - Day 2

Social programme on Wednesday evening September 21st between 7-10 pm
Visit of Ghent with guide. Apetit –Culinar walk along three restaurants in the centre of Ghent (apero, dinner, dessert). Depending on number of registrants price : 50-65 euro per person

  •  Thursday 22 september - Day 3

Registration fee

Free of charge for PhD students of the Doctoral School of Life Science and Medicine of Ghent University. External students are also welcome, there is a registration fee of 450 EURO.
