Location: Laboratory of Hematology, UZ Brussels, Paviljoen Louis Tielemans, meeting room Klinische Biologie ( level -1), Laarbeeklaan 101 - 1090 Brussel.
Route description: Entrance via the main entrance of UZ Brussel. In the hall, take the corridor at the left (direction cardiovascular diseases). Laboratory for Clinical Biology is seen in front of you. At this lab, go to the right and sign up at the secretary. They will point you the way to the meeting room.

9 - 12 : Flow cytometry in the diagnosis and follow-up of leukemia and lymphoma.
12 - 13: Lunch
13 - 16 : Practical aspects: labeling of the cells, examination with the flow cytometer and interpretation of the data.

9:30-10:30: Introduction Multiplex Bead-Based Flow cytometry
10:30-12:00: Explanation on the FacsArray flow cytometer with attention to the pitfalls in FacsArray CBA.

12-13: Lunch

13- 14 : Introduction to fluorescent activated cell sorting (FACS)
14-16u30: Practical aspects: explanation of the sorting process on the instrument by the responsible of the FACSAria III celsorter,  including ‘tips and tricks’ to perform an efficient sort.

10-12: Detection of antigen specific T cells using intracellular cytokine determination (ICS).
12-13: Lunch
13-17: Practical aspects: performing protocol (fix/ perm) + antibody staining, followed by flowcytometric analysis with attention for pitfalls at ICS.
