Josué Borrajo Bastero (Vigo, Spain, 1989) has a Master degree in Industrial Engineering (speciality in Mechanics) by the University of Vigo. He spent a semester at the Politechnika Wrocławska for working on his Master Thesis (Design of a Rack and a Roof-Mounted Bicycle Carrier for Cars [English]). Later, he got a Master in Energy and Sustainability by the University of Vigo (thesis: Study of Fouling in Low-Power Biomass Boiler [Galician]) and a Master degree in Occupational Risk Prevention, by Open Cela Institute (thesis: Study of the Occupational Risk Prevention System in the New Laboratories of C.AC.T.I [Spanish]).

He worked in the automotive industry for 3 years, focusing on logistics and production management. He joined the Building Physics Groups in February 2018 and he is collaborating in the H2020 Project HybridGEOTABS. His role in the project is to analyse the energy performance of the case study buildings using tools that involve building simulations, analysis of real energy data, determining energy performance indicators, extrapolations of results to the real building stock in Europe. He is also collaborating in a project with a Belgian company focused on the air, moisture and trace substances transfer in houses. In general, his research is focused on building simulations and air behaviour.
