We kindly invite you to the third lecture in the series “Renovating the Belgian Building Stock by 2050”, organized in the context of ongoing advanced topics that focus on that challenge.

Next Thursday at 19:30, Janet Reyna (NREL) will give us an introduction into the large scale RESTOCK model in the USA with her presentation entitled ResStock: A high-granularity model for developing national and regional building retrofit strategies in the United States. Practical details, the link, and the calendar item can be found at: Building stock: Janet Reyna - ResStock: A high-granularity model for developing national and regional building retrofit strategies in the United States

Dr. Janet L. Reyna joined NREL in 2018. Previously, she was an ORISE Science and Technology Policy Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office supporting the Building Energy Modeling program. During her Ph.D. at Arizona State University, she received a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship and also spent a summer as a guest researcher at the Pontifica Católica Universidad del Perú in Lima. Dr. Reyna’s research focuses on environmental and energy impacts of urban systems with additional interests in building stock dynamics, climate change, future weather, building and electric grid interactions, and she aims to provide information for policy decision-making with her work.  She has expertise in life cycle assessment, energy forecasting, building energy modeling, vehicle emissions simulation, and spatial analysis.

25th of March Prof. Laure Itard (TU Delft) shared her ideas on “Energy analytics for sustainable buildings” which that can be viewed here Video: Building Stock Lectures - Prof. Laure Itard
