Tara holds a master's in engineering architecture (KULeuven, 2013) and a master's in urban design and spatial planning (UAntwerpen, 2017). Previously she has worked as an intern at import-export and an urban designer at Blauwdruk Stedenbouw. She is experienced in research by design on various scales; ranging from feasibility studies at building block level to large-scale residential projects. She is currently working on territorial development at the Department of Environment and Spatial Planning. Her projects include increasing the resilience of the Lys and the spatial development of the city region of Ghent. Her experience working for both design offices and the government means that she is rooted in practice and has developed an ambitious but sensitive attitude in designing and project/process management.
