The industry is evolving at an accelerated pace and, thanks to new technologies, contemporary designers need a variety of knowledge and skills. However, this rapid change also raises questions. What role will designers and engineers need to assume? What knowledge and skills will they need to acquire to remain relevant? The future prospects seem quite exciting. From Ghent University campus Kortrijk and the Design.Nexus research group, we will answer these questions during an interactive lecture. We hope to warm you up to the future, which is not only frightening for designers and engineers, but above all extremely fascinating.
