AIG and Ceneka are organizing an event where Prof. Francis Wyffels shares his vision on recent and future developments in this area, followed by Jonathan Berte, CEO of Robovision who will do the same from an industrial point of view.

This is a DUTCH event - The recent hype concerning artificial intelligence (AI) can not be denied. There are record amounts for AI start-ups investments, futuristic applications are scooped up everywhere and doomsday scenarios about the downfall of mankind are thrown at us daily.

But what about AI research at our University? Reservoir Lab (now part of IDLab) quickly made a name for itself in the AI world by, among other things, winning an important data science competition twice. Many IDLab alumni are currently working at Google Deepmind or other prestigious AI labs. Prof. dr. ir. Francis wyffels (IDLab) conducts research on AI in robots and will share with us his vision from an academic perspective.

A second speaker, this time from the industry is Jonathan Berte, CEO and founder of Robovision. RoboVision is a young and innovative company with a team of AI experts. They have made worldclass intelligent cutting planter for growing all kinds of flowers.
