BREAKFAST! 17 December 2019 at iGent - Foyer, ground floor

Join ELIS and TECHLANCE in the support of the CRIG Fund.   1 in 3 men and 1 in 4 women in Belgium is diagnosed with cancer before his or her 75th birthday. It makes you realise just how vitally important cancer research remains.  The Cancer Research Institute Ghent CRIG aims to accelerate such research, by bringing together Ghent University, Ghent University Hospital and Ghent University’s VIB life sciences research institute. A partnership focused on achieving more.

On Tuesday 17 December the ELIS department is organising a breakfast to support de

Every day, more than 400 researchers are working, each in their own discipline from doctors and biologists to engineering, to improve cancer treatment and improve the life expectation of cancer patients.

You can have breakfast between 8am and 10am. This costs 15 EUR per person of which min. 5 EUR will go to the CRIG. Please register before 10 December 2019 and pay you tickets on BE69 0018 7563 8678 (mention in the payment reference whose tickets you are paying).

Croque monsieurs in de warmste week

Have a croque for lunch

Have a croque for lunch and support cancer research at Ghent University.  On Thursday, 5 December from 11h30 to 14h00, we sell ‘croque monsieurs’ (grilled sandwiches: ham & cheese / pesto & mozzarella), in the entrance hall of the iGent-building.

Warmest Week - Warmest Fire: Do not be disturbed by fire

Did you know that from January 1, 2020, it is mandatory to have smoke detectors at home?  That is why we, Bart Goossens and Jeroen Ongenae, sell high-quality smoke detectors for the Burns Foundation in the context of the Warmest Week and this at a very competitive price. The profit from this promotion goes entirely to the foundation.

You donate a minimum of 2 EUR per smoke detector.

You can order your smoke detectors at www.warmstebrand.ugent.be

On the one hand, we want to encourage people to install smoke detectors and thus protect their families and themselves against fire. And on the other hand we want to support the Burn Foundation so that people with burn wounds can be cared for properly and live a dignified life.

The promotion runs until December 20, 2019 and the delivery will take place early 2020 on the different campuses of UGent and if desired by post.
