HiPEAC5 is live!

HiPEAC5 started on 1 December, this is the fifth edition of the HiPEAC project, coordinated since 2008 by the ELIS department of Ghent University. HiPEAC stands for 'High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation'. The network brings together 2000 researchers in computer systems in Europe, making it the largest network of its kind.

HiPEAC5 will focus on consolidating links with the industry and connecting the research and innovation communities in Europe. This closely matches the ambitions of Industrie 4.0. HiPEAC organizes many events such as training and networking events and also manages a number of important communication channels such as the HiPEAC Magazine, a job website, twitter and the biennial HiPEAC vision. HiPEAC also provides financial support for research mobility.

In January, HiPEAC5 organized a first conference in Manchester. The HiPEAC conferences provide an important European platform for experts in computer architecture, programming models, compilers and operating systems for integrated and general systems.
