Prof. Lieven Eeckhout nominated for the UGent Prometheus awards for research

(13-03-2018) During Take Five@UGent on 22 March, the annual Ghent University awards for education, research and public services will be awarded to staff members who are an example of the great dedication to be found at Ghent University.

With the awards, employees who enthusiastically and excellently represent the three core tasks of Ghent University are honored. They were brought forward by their colleagues and / or students (via the digital nominations in 2017) and by the university board. Through the awards, Ghent University wishes to thank all its employees for the daily commitment that makes the university a thriving institution.

  • Prof. dr. Lieven Eeckhout (Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Electronics and Information Systems) is nominated because of his exceptional track record in research (he is one of the youngest scientists with two ERC grants to his name). In addition, he excels with a clear vision of the leadership of his research group and the supervision of researchers.
