Max Kiewiet wins 2025 Emil Wolf Outstanding Student Paper Award
(16-11-2025) Max Kiewiet has been honoured with the prestigious 2025 Emil Wolf Outstanding Student Paper Award at Frontiers in Optics (FIO) 2025, held this year in Denver, Colorado.
The recognition marks a historic milestone as Kiewiet becomes the first researcher from a Belgian university ever to receive this award. The award recognises his team’s pioneering work on integrating 800 nm lasers on a silicon nitride (SiN) photonics platform.
