PhD Zei Zhang wins 2018 PhD Research Award from the Plasma Physics division

(18-04-2018) The PhD Research Award was created in 2005 and honours PhD work of exceptional quality in plasma physics in an EPS member state.

PhD student Wei Zhang (Department of Applied physics) was selected as one of the winners of the 2018 PhD Research Award of the Plasma Physics Division of the European Physical Society (EPS). An Independent Scientific Jury nominated by the Board of the Plasma Physics Division selects 4 candidates for the award based on a European wide submission of outstanding candidates.

 

Each winner receives a prize of €1000, together with the opportunity to give an oral presentation at the 45th Annual EPS Conference on Plasma Physics, to be held in Prague in early July. The thesis award will be presented during the opening ceremony of this conference in Prague on July 2.
