Our former colleague dr. Weixi Zhang has won the ABTUS-BVOTS Scientific Prize for his PhD thesis entitled ‘Numerical and experimental analysis of the mechanical behaviour of linings in quasi-rectangular shield tunnels’. His supervisors are Prof. dr. ir. Wouter De Corte and em. Prof. dr. ir. Luc Taerwe. The prize includes a monetary award of €1250.
